Mark Swisher Retires
Mark Swisher, owner and producer of Summer and Associates, a division of TROXELL, will retire on December 31, 2018 after 35 years of service.
Mark started his insurance career in Washington, Illinois on September 1, 1983 as a producer with Esser-Summer, Inc. A few years later, upon Henry Esser’s retirement, the agency name was changed to Summer & Associates under the sole ownership of Mark’s father in law, Robert Summer. In 1995 Mark Swisher and Ernie Rosecrans purchased the agency from Robert and became equal partners in the agency. For the next 12 years they watched the agency grow by providing customers with quality insurance products and exceptional service. In August 2007, Summer & Associates merged with R.W. Troxell & Company (now TROXELL). For the last 11+ years Mark has continued in his leadership roles for the agency, along with the many other “hats” that comes with operating a small insurance office.
The Summer & Associates team will miss Mark's leadership, friendship, mood lifting office pranks, and most of all his witty sarcasm. Check out this quick video of the team saying farewell.
